Depth Of Field..

Depth of field refers to the range of distance that appears acceptably sharp. It varies depending on camera type, aperture and focusing distance, although print size and viewing distance can also influence our perception of depth of field. This tutorial is designed to give a better intuitive and technical understanding for photography, and provides a depth of field calculator to show how it varies with your camera settings.

Lighting..

The use of light in a photograph can be the deciding factor of whether that picture will be spectacular or terrible.  When you use your camera to automatically chose aperture and shutter speed, what your camera is actually doing is using the built in light meter and measuring how much light is being reflected to the camera.

Focal Points..

The reason a focal point is important is that when you look at an image your eye will generally need a ‘resting place’ or something of interest to really hold it. Without it you’ll find people will simply glance at your shots and then move on to the next one.

Composition..

http://www.photographytips.com/page.cfm/6

Composition, the act of composing the image in the viewfinder, is a visual process of organizing the elements and individual details of a scene into a balanced and pleasing arrangement. Because what one person finds pleasing, someone else will not, composition is largely a matter of personal taste.
A photograph that communicates its message - that says what you want it to say, says it clearly, and that interests its viewer - is an effecive composition.

First Analysis

FACTUAL: This image is by Perou. He is a British artist, he is the photographer on the TV
series Dirty Sexy Things.
the CONTEXT: This is an image taken of the models BB and Jeesye B from Dirty Sexy Things.
TECHNICAL: I think that he has taken the image in a studio, using a SLR camera to create the image.
AESTHETIC: What I like most is the red paint being throne across the photo. Even though I
know who the models are, I think even if you didn't know who they were, you would still like the photo because its very interesting image.
